Beta hcg blood test kit is for in vitro quantitative determination of the content of human chorionic gonadotropin β subunit (beta-HCG) in human serum, plasma or whole blood.

Human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG), a glycoprotein hormone from placental trophoblast cells, has α (shared by anterior pituitary hormones) and HCG-specific β subunits. After fertilization, HCG enters maternal blood, rises rapidly until week 8 of pregnancy, then gradually drops until weeks 18 - 20 before stabilizing. A blood beta-HCG test quantitatively checks its levels to determine pregnancy.

Storage Conditions and Shelf Life：

Store at 2°C - 30°C. The shelf life is 18 months.

Sample Requirements of beta subunit test:

1.Whole blood, plasma, or serum samples are acceptable.

2. Return samples to 15 - 30°C and mix well before testing.

3. Avoid samples with severe hemolysis, hyperlipidemia, or jaundice.

4. Test within 2 hours after collection.

Testing Method of beta hcg test at home:

1. Turn on the analyzer and read the calibration card.

2. Enter the sample number and mix the sample by inverting.

3. Add 5μl sample to buffer, use a pipette tip (200μl, set to 75μl) to aspirate/dispense for 20s (2s×10) to dissolve/mix fluorescent substances.

4. Release 75μl mixed sample onto the detection card, insert the card fully into the analyzer.

5. The analyzer scans the barcode automatically. After ~15 minutes, measure T/C line fluorescence ratio, calculate concentration via the calibration curve, record results, and remove the used card.

Reference Interval of beta hcg rapid test:

0 - 25 mIU/ml (based on the 90th percentile from over 120 normal samples). Due to differences in geography, race, gender, and age, labs should establish their own intervals.

Result Interpretation of beta hcg test kit:

Results beyond the reference range suggest possible pregnancy.

If results conflict with symptoms, a confirmation test is required.
